Career choices is a class at the Rochester Career Mentoring Charter School. Career choices offers students to explore what they are interested in and allows a student to explore their future career. Throughout the course, students research how to achieve their chosen career and what steps a student need to take after high school to be successful in their career. Students also learn how to write a resume, cover letter, budgeting, etc. As a 9th grader, students use this year to explore options and learn about budgeting, write a resume, and networking with people in their careers. As a 10th grader, students will be shadowing professionals in their chosen career and develop projects based on key skills needed in their career.
